How to Increase Your AdSense Earnings
How to Increase Your AdSense Earnings
Most of the time, publishers use a single template for all of their page/posts; however, this doesn’t always give the highest payouts. If you are using a CMS, that allows you to have different templates that will often allow you to experiment. If you are using WordPress, this feature was recently added. If you haven’t done any Adsense optimization recently, I’d suggest reading the Adsense Optimization Techniques post from the Adsense Blog. Using the techniques there, you can make changes that will quite often have a dramatic impact on your earnings. How dramatic? I’ll show you …
You can see that the earnings for any single page on one my websites is fairly consistent for most of the year. However, right after reading and implementing the changes from that Adsense post mentioned above, I changed the placement and size. You can see earnings showed a nice increase. More importantly, the earnings have remained at a higher level. Let me put it to you another way: for less than 15 minutes worth of work, I was able to nearly quadruple the amount of money that page generated in a month. So it might be something you want to try. Here’s my advice:
* Look for pages with good or better traffic that aren’t generating much revenue
* Put those pages into custom templates
* Experiment with different ad placements, colors, and sizes
* Try to let each experiment run for at least a week
* Look at Adsense revenue–don’t be lured off track by high CTR or high eCPM
* Once you have found the optimal format, try it on other pages and see if revenue increases
* Lather, rinse, repeat

Do’s and Don’ts in Running an Online Business
Do’s and Don’ts in Running an Online Business
The internet is widely used for internet exchange nowadays. Most people don’t need go to malls because they can do online shopping. A wide variety of products are now being sold and made available online. The best thing about it, you only have to do a few clicks, pay online and have your desired product delivered directly at your doorstep. In order to sell products online or send out information regarding products available at retail shops, certain systems and software, online business owners engage in online marketing.
If you are into marketing, try to do it online as it may also work for you. I have summarized a few do’s and don’ts in running or even starting your own online business and I hope this would be of help to you in your journey to online marketing success.
Do’s:
• Start as an affiliate marketer; promote other people’s products or services. This is by far the easiest way for you to generate traffic and start to attract visitors to your site. Promote their products and services and get commissions on every sale you get.
• Examine the details and do your homework. Don’t just invest your time on looking for free manuals or e-books that you see on the net, it does not always give you the right information that you will need. You should choose a high quality study course and make sure it is fine-tuned or well-researched.
• Use time saving tools that are designed for your own benefit. There are a lot of online marketing tools, take advantage of them and use them wisely. Take a look at KeywordSpy as an example, an advanced keyword research tool that can surely give you the information you would need for your online business. You may even already begin accessing it through free trial.
• Cut your spending both personally and within your business whenever it is possible, but don’t stop investing in technology or pursuing your marketing plans.
• Keep things simple and watch out for scams. Never start at the more complex methods of this business, start with the basics and make sure that the method you are following is authentic. Scams are every where, you better watch out for them.
Don’ts:
• Believe in everything that you see online, there are a lot of scams roaming around. Be cautious and be sure that everything is authentic before you decide.
• Jump from one method or technique to another. This is a common mistake for newbies not only in online business but I think in everything. Most of us jump on another strategy immediately which is a waste of time and effort. Before you decide to use a specific method or technique, you must research well, gather the information you need and everything will just go smoothly.
• Stop conversation online, or socialize online like Twitter or any other social network. This will help you generate more traffic by gaining followers and leading them to your site. You may also derive a lot of recent information/industry updates from these sites.
• Compete with large company if it wont fit your budget. These markets are harder to penetrate since your competitors are having larger budget than what you have. Start on the market that you can afford, use your budget wisely.
• Loose your patience. Online marketing is not an overnight progress. It means that you won’t generate traffic in an instant. You have a lot of competitors and most of them are aspiring to be the top ranked advertisers in major search engines just like you are. Be patient enough to wait and update everything that needs update.
These are just few of the many things that will you have to keep in mind for your online business. You will also benefit more if you widen your knowledge and understanding of what online marketing is. Use your time wisely and invest your money for the good of your business.

Amazon starts DNS Cloud Service
Amazon starts DNS Cloud Service
Amazon Route 53 can be used to route end users to multiple AWS services including Amazon EC2, an Amazon Elastic Load Balancer or an Amazon S3 bucket, and to infrastructure outside of AWS.
Route 53 features a self-service design with a pay-as-you-go model where users pay only for managing domains through the service and the number of queries that the service answers.
Amazon-Route-53 Amazon Route 53 uses a network of DNS servers located across the globe, which allows businesses to keep their web applications available. Amazon Route 53 also lets users place controls over who can manage their DNS system by allowing integration with AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).
“Our customers have asked for a DNS service with all the same qualities of the other AWS services that they use every day – flexible, scalable, no commitment, inexpensive, and pay-as-you go,” said by, General Manager of Amazon CloudFront.
“That’s exactly what Amazon Route 53 provides. Now AWS customers who need a DNS service don’t have to work with a separate provider and instead can get this additional infrastructure service with the AWS platform.”

Google Cloud Picker Feature Discovered too soon
Google Cloud Picker Feature Discovered too soon
According to those who spotted it, it appeared when they tried to insert files and images into Google Sites and Blogger. A screenshot is now making the rounds, showing that it is tied to Picasa, Maps, Google Docs, and YouTube.
A spokesperson for the company tells, "It looks like someone pushed some code too quickly. It's not quite ready for prime time yet but stay tuned!"
Something like this might come in handy when you want to share things. Incidentally, Google is also working on something else that's not quite ready for prime time and isn't expected to be until the Spring - you know, that "social layer" Google is supposed to be adding to tie its products together. Any suggestion that this is related could only be considered speculation, but it's something to consider. Another thing to consider is that Google is heavily trying to move people to the cloud. Google made an announcement recently that also connects the better part of Google's services together through Google Apps.
Something else that is also apparently not quite ready for prime time? Google's Cloud-based operating system Chrome OS. This very likely has a lot to do with that. In the end all of these things are going to be connected in one way or another, I believe.

Yahoo Releases "Year in Review" Lists
Out of respect for your time, we'll stick to the basics here - the official "Top Searches on Yahoo in 2010." But know that lots of other stuff, from the top ten "Survivor Stories" to "Inspiring Acts," is available on a Year in Review site Yahoo put together. Plus there's a second, UK-specific version of the site.
As for those top searches, it turns out that more Yahoo users searched for information about the BP oil spill than anything else in 2010. Then the second-most researched topic was the World Cup.
A few celebrities - Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, and Lady Gaga - got third, fourth, and fifth places. Next, the iPhone came in sixth, and Megan Fox got seventh.
Finally, rounding out the top ten were Justin Bieber, American Idol, and Britney Spears.
A senior editor and Web trend analyst of Yahoo explained "In 2010 consumers watched the BP disaster unfold like a slow-motion horror film and discovered a love for the 'other' football. There was no stopping the meteoric rise of artists like Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber. And a favored Disney star, Miley Cyrus, made the up-and-down transition to adulthood, while Britney Spears seemed to get her life back on track and dropped on the Top 10 list again this year."

China ready to Prosecute Google over Maps
China ready to Prosecute Google over Maps
China issues mapping licenses in order to ensure that all maps match the government's own view of its territory. That way, citizens aren't encouraged to think that disputed regions might belong to other countries or be independent. Also, military facilities can better be kept out of public view.
Google hasn't even applied for a mapping license, though, Michael Kan learned from the Chinese government. So Kan was able to report, "China will investigate and prosecute Google next July if the search engine company does not acquire the necessary state license to operate its Google Maps service in the country, according to the government."
That could become a major problem for Google, since being unable to provide such a basic service would probably affect its share of the search market.
Meanwhile, Kan wrote, "Domestic search engine Baidu, which holds a 73 percent market share, has already received approval for a mapping license. Microsoft's joint venture in China is in the process of applying, the bureau said."

UK Internet Marketing Services grows at 10% year
UTalk Marketing reports the company's agency leader told its Digital Brand Strategy Summit the sector would contribute 13 per cent of the country's gross domestic product within five years and be worth an estimated £228 billion.
He added that small businesses were driving the growth and those that employ online marketing services are increasing their business at four to eight times the rate of their non-web enabled competitors, as well as being responsible for twice the amount of exports.
When measured by the amount spent per capita, he pointed out the UK is "the number one country for e-commerce", noting that this was "a fantastic statistic". The mobile commerce industry was also growing "at a pace and on a scale unprecedented in human history".

Opera confirms Mobile Web Use Soaring
In a statement Opera said Mobile Web use is soaring on a global basis, In October 2010, Opera Mini had over 76.3 million users, a 7.1% increase from September 2010 and more than 92% compared to October 2009." Also, "Since September, page views have gone up 12.6%. Since October 2009, page views have increased 142%."
Opera said, "In October 2010, Opera Mini users generated over 616 million MB of data for operators worldwide. Since September, the data consumed went up by 15.1%. Data in Opera Mini is compressed up to 90%. If this data were uncompressed, Opera Mini users would have viewed over 5.7 petabytes of data in October. Since October 2009, data traffic is up 134%."
So it looks like quite a rush is underway, with young people leading the charge. Opera found most 18-to-27-year-old Opera Mini users use their mobile phones to access the Web more often than a desktop or laptop PC.

FAMOUS QUOTES FROM ONLINE MARKETING HEROES
FAMOUS QUOTES FROM ONLINE MARKETING HEROES
But why do we really love reading or using quotes? It is because quotes serve as inspirations and they provide motivation. Oftentimes, quotes convey life or circumstances in a nutshell. Quotes affect our standpoint in life. The memorable sayings made by someone will be carried on for generations to bring knowledge and insight. Most people do not even have an idea who the original speakers of this wisdom were, but their sayings are what will keep them fathomless and constant.
In the world of internet marketing, quotations made by successful marketers can be used not only as an inspiration but it would also help us analyze their drive into becoming the successful persons they are today.
You can find below a diverse selection of famous quotes from online marketing heroes and I’m hoping that with them you will find true inspiration to be successful in online marketing.
1. “I was just pursuing what I enjoyed doing. I mean, I was pursuing my passion.”
- Pierre Omidyar, eBay
2. “You can chase whatever keywords and phrases you like, but at the end of the day it’s all about those conversions.”
- Matt Webb, SEO Honolulu
3. “If we wanted to sell ad banners, we could call DoubleClick and be profitable today ... But we can be more successful in the long run if we grow our user base…”
- Sergey Brin, Google
4. “My rule of thumb is build a site for a user not a spider.”
- Dave Naylor, DavidNaylor.co.uk (DaveN)
5. “It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.”
- Bill Gates, Microsoft
6. “Over the past six years I've had many difficulties. But I never lost my passion.”
- Robin Li, Baidu
7. “People used to think that the web was somehow different from offline, that anyone could just slap up a web page and get results overnight. There might have been a few that got lucky somehow, but it's not like that. You have to build a real business online, and then it's hard work, it's making something good. It's like any business; you can't just open up a store somewhere and expect to get business. It's all marketing, and it's really come full circle now, with people trying to understand that you have to market your web site online and offline and any way that you can.”
- Jill Whalen, High Rankings
8. “SEO isn’t an entitlement program. It’s an ongoing investment that must be resourced properly. It’s not a one-hit, one-phrase paradigm. It’s not built on quick wins for trophy phrases. There are hard costs and soft costs associated with building a successful SEO strategy that deserve proper budget allocations.”
- P.J. Fusco, The ClickZ Network
9. “We're just going to concentrate on what we've always done, which is to create the best possible online directory, adding content and other features along the way when it makes sense.”
-Jerry Yang, Yahoo! Inc.
10. “In the absence of communication among your customers, advertising rules.”
- Don Peppers, Peppers & Rogers Group and 1to1 Media
11. “When I started eBay, it was a hobby, an experiment to see if people could use the Internet to be empowered through access to an efficient market. I actually wasn't thinking about it in terms of a social impact. It was really about helping people connect around a sphere of interest so they could do business.”
- Pierre Omidyar, eBay
12. “Success from a business standpoint or marketing standpoint with social networks is centered around people being transparent and honest, and in putting information out there that gives an indication of what they're really like."
- Lee Odden, TopRank Online Marketing
13. “Search is about figuring out what people are looking for when they enter keywords into their favorite search engine. Social media is what people are actually saying to each other; they’re telling us what they’re looking for. We, as marketers, should be able to fit it all together pretty nicely.”
- Norm Elrod
14. “If content is king, then conversion is queen.”
- John Munsell, Bizzuka

Instead Of Ads Google Promotions for Webmaster Tools
So I did some more tests and apparently if you do a site: search you will see the ads. Clever really as it asks if you are site owner and is pushing tool set that would do pretty much what I was looking at. Wonder how many people decide to add Webmaster Tools after seeing this?

Acquisition Rumors Link Google and Groupon
Acquisition Rumors Link Google and Groupon
The idea of an increased bid seems reasonable, since the Yahoo discussions didn't work out. Also, Google had $33.4 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities just sitting around as of September 30th, so the company can afford to pay a little more.
Saving money has become a popular activity, and Groupon is among the top players in the field. Its ties to Facebook and Twitter, along with its mobile presence, then add additional value. There is one major issue in a possible Google purchase of Groupon because more regulatory scrutiny by the federal government over its power online.

Google Chrome Tops in New List of Vulnerable Applications
Bit9, which created the list, did so by pulling statistics from U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology's official vulnerability database. Chrome came in first by a significant margin, with 76 reported vulnerabilities to second-place Safari's 60 problems. Firefox had 51 vulnerabilities and Internet Explorer had 32
But Chrome is by far the youngest piece of software on the list and since Google is actively bribing people to seek out vulnerabilities. Maybe Google will do better the next time Bit9 releases its "Top Vulnerable Applications" list.

Social media and research
Research is a good thing. It needs to be done but the simple matter is that it needs to be performed by an unsponsored third party for it to truly have some value. As soon as I see that a piece of research comes from a company that stands to benefit from a positive result I turn into the high cynic and I suggest you do the same.

Today’s research delicacy is about the integration of social media and e-mail. Its a match that is made in heaven from a theoretical standpoint for sure. In practice, these things tend to be a little more like real life means great intentions but messier than any of us would like.
Now days we get more information about how this marriage is something that is being done with great success. We get the data from; it’s a company that does e-mail marketing management for businesses and organizations. If we have learned one thing over the past several years the research as PR movement is alive and well. Too bad that doesn’t always mean that the data isn’t influenced.
The main question which comes in my mind is: If you used social media with e-mail marketing to get better results this last year, how much better were your results?

Custom Blog Redesign in 5 Easy Steps
Custom Blog Redesign in 5 Easy Steps
1. What are your goals for the project?
This sounds like an obvious question, but being able to communicate clearly your reasons for wanting a blog design will be extremely helpful for your designer, and will contribute to a more successful project.
I recommend having one or two main goals or objectives. Then, if necessary, create a subset of several more. I want my blog to look better,” or “I want my blog to be more visible.” Neither of these goals are specific enough to help us create a great blog design, so it’s my job to ask more specific questions at that point.
2. Which sites do you like? What do you like about them?
Having a list of sites and blogs that you like and can reference is a huge help to your designer. This doesn’t mean that you have to have examples of sites that you want to copy, or sites that you like everything about—actually, the contrary is true. The best thing to do is gather sites that you like specific elements of. For example, you could really like the header of one site, the color scheme of another site, and the footer of yet another site.
3. What’s your budget?
Have a budget in mind for your project—this may determine who you hire. There are many possibilities for designing a blog interface, and a wide range of pricing options.
4. What’s your timeline?
The timeline for the creation of a custom blog design comes down the schedule of the person or company doing the creative work. Designers usually have lead times of at least a couple weeks for starting new projects.
5. Which sites has the designer created that you like?
There is no doubt that you have selected several possible designers for your project, and that you have selected them at least in part because of their past work. It’s important that you can identify which sites they have done that you like, and what you like about them, for referencing purposes when you are speaking with the designer.
Conclusion:
Whichever route you choose to go through agency, freelancer, 99designs.com just remember that the more thought and work you put into the project before approaching designers, the more successful your project is going to be. Getting a custom blog designed can be a headache or a great experience, but fortunately you can do a lot to influence which way the project goes.

Site Links for PPC Ad and Keyword Results Enhancement
Google Adwords’ Site Links, while innovative, is quite overlooked when it comes to site promotion. Thankfully, you don’t have to be part of that breed. Today, I will show you how to exploit this nifty tool of Adwords, and use it to your advantage.
The Site Links feature enables you to put extra keywords in order to lead to other portions on your site, aside from the homepage. With this, people can cut to the chase and access the information they desire without having to start from the homepage. The privilege of using this feature is handed out to those who bid for a certain keyword and have their site appear for it. For example, you have a site called Siteclicks.com, you would bid on “siteclicks”to ensure it gets the first result. Google can give you up to 4 additional Destination URLs for your ad, for users to quickly access the information they want.
In the Adwords Interface, Sitelinks could be located in the Campaign Level. But not all ads will have Sitelinks connected to them, so you have to choose the campaign you will attach the Sitelinks to wisely.
You will also be given the option on how you would want to display your sitelinks, whether in a straight line, or in a line-by-line (many row) formation.
Once the Sitelinks are saved, they will show up in the Ad extensions section, together with related metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR).
The ads’ main destination URL is still the URL considered for the landing page quality for individual ads. This helps to promote new products or non-performing ones. But Google will still check the relevancy of such links to their corresponding pages. So it is important to note the relevancy of the keywords to use.
Here are just some advantages for using Site Links:
· You can choose your niche before users access your site.
· You can segment a main brand further into sub-brands while staying focused on the main brand
· You can direct people from your main page directly to the pages that have the information they searched for
· You can include more text in the setup process. The text you include should have keywords in it as much as possible, but you also need to prevent overspamming and do it in the most stylistic manner possible.
· You can get additional links to content deeper in the sites (you are given up to 4 additional destination URLs)
Just like the whole Adwords setup, using Sitelinks proves to be tricky. So, for a maximum experience of the feature, we suggest following the said guidelines to produce better Sitelinks:
· Create a navigable landing page
· Pay attention to the keyword positioning (not very repetitive text for links)
· Pay attention to the other content (headers, titles, etc.)
Apart from that PPC stats are lifted, most significant of which is the one for clickthrough rate. The better people are directed to the ideal page they are looking information for, the better that there will be a conversion. Google reports early users of Sitelinks had a 30% increase in CTR. Some brands also reported brand PPC sales increases in the 15-40+% range.
In lieu of this, knowledge of the importance of clickthrough rate gives us a chance to enhance the effectiveness of our site through SEO. As a rule, linking to high converting ads will increase your CTR. In choosing campaigns to which Sitelinks should be assigned, one should keep in mind that it should be assigned to very good ads. With AdWords, you should be able to monitor the impact created by each ad.
The monitoring could be done by trial and error. You could choose to run test campaigns, one with Sitelinks and one without. After a certain period of time, check the CTRs that each gets. If one is significantly higher than the other in terms of CTR, consider this to be your preferred ad. Use the tagging option on Google Analytics to see the links clicked on.
Finally, note that one of the important things to note is the text for the Links. Here are pointers to remember when writing the Site Link text:
· Site Link should be used as a summary for the page it links to
· Concise text as opposed to long winded descriptions
· Clear descriptions of the actions you would require from users
Since the SEO value of a site is crucial when choosing your Site Link text, it’s best if you can look to keyword tools for keywords pertaining to your site that would rank highly and are possible targets for people who search. The KeywordSpy service, for example, could come in handy in two ways:
1. With KeywordSpy Research, you can type in a keyword, find out the synonyms for that keyword through the Related and Similar Keywords tabs, and also consider misspelled versions of the keyword (for better SEO) through the Mispell tab. Helpful metrics such as Search Volume should guide you into discerning the best options for text.
2. With KeywordSpy Tracking, you can enter all of the keywords and track their performance over Google, Yahoo and Bing, and in up to over 30 countries. By doing so, you can single out the keywords which do well in SEO through their corresponding metrics (which are updated in real time). Furthermore, you can use the keyword suggestion tool, which shows keywords also used by the domains tracked by the system, and consider them as well for Sitelinks incorporation.
In addition, both modules are available in the Professional account, so you can hit two birds with one stone on this task should you choose to use that package. Cool, isn’t it?
Site Links on Adwords is a promising and bright opportunity, and you can either use it to your advantage or waste it. With the tips I’ve given you, hopefully, you can usher yourself on to Adwords success via this valuable new feature.

Optimize Your Organi
Optimize Your Organic Keyword Presence – Use KeywordSpy
Building a website is as easy as ABC and even a newbie can do it without getting extensive help from anyone. Making and maintaining its online visibility is another question and it sure is a tough one.
An aesthetically appealing design on your website can definitely catch the attention of users, however, without proper optimization, your efforts to make a creative website theme is useless if no one will reach your website to take a look at it --- this is where SEO (Search Engine Optimization) comes into play. SEO plays a very significant role in boosting your website's visibility in search engines.Surveys conducted by various companies show that majority of web users/searchers usually do not go past the first two or three pages of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP), but with the proper application of SEO techniques, a guaranteed visibility of your website is in the bag.Now the challenge is: How will you optimize your website to make it more visible online?Of course one can always get help from companies offering expert SEO and PPC services, however, if you are operating a small business with only a limited budget allocated for online advertisement campaigns, this is not a viable option. So, how will you compete with huge companies that are investing millions and millions of dollars if you are just starting your online campaigns?Simple! Take advantage of your competitor's organic keywords! Organic Keywords, also known as natural keywords, are those that appear naturally on your website and are the ones responsible for the free traffic a site generates via popularity rank in a search engine's result pages. The most significant factor that has to be considered in setting up an organic keyword campaign for a website is keyword relevance in relation to the website content and target customers. For example if your site is selling insulated pants with the brand name “HeatPants x5”, and provided that the brand name is not yet well known as it is a relatively new release, then it should be noted that keyword selection for this scenario should not only involve the brand name itself but the more common search strings that potential customers will most likely use – in this case it is “insulated pants”.Therefore, in order for you to take advantage of organic keywords, first, you have to identify what those keywords are, especially the keywords used by your competitors in their advertising campaigns. For you to determine these keywords, you need an efficient keyword research tool. With the above SEO tip mentioned, it is imperative that you use a tool that will help you optimize if not maximize your organic keyword campaign. Your Guide to Dynamic Keyword Insertion
This feature can be used with any text-based ads but should be used with care. Take your time to learn keyword insertion before implementing this technique to your account.
WHAT EXACTLY IS DYNAMIC KEYWORD INSERTION?
As we may or may not know, major PPC engines would show your keywords in bold letters in your ad as a reward for the relevancy of your PPC advertisement. Example: If you type keyword “Guitar sale” in the Google search bar, you will get results from Conrad-int.com. On the PPC ad, you will notice that the keywords searched by the user which triggered the ad are in bold, not only in the title, but the ad copy and the display URL as well. This will definitely pull a searcher’s eye, increase your click through rate (CTR), and also your quality score. This simply means that when your ad contains keywords that are bold, you are telling the user or the searcher you got the information they want to see or what they are looking for.
You may still be wondering where dynamic keyword insertion comes in here. It comes in when you have to use a lot of keywords for your ad. You could create individual ads for each keyword which will take a lot of your time, effort and of course money, or you could just write a single ad and let Google, Yahoo or MSN insert the keywords dynamically for you.
Allow me to give an example of what it is I’m referring to here: (we’ll take into account only a few keywords just for this purpose) Old Cars, Cheap Cars and Used Cars. Instead of writing individual ads for each keyword, we will just use some codes to let major search engines insert these keywords for us. In your ad group “Cars” you can create the following code: (Your ad group should also contain the keywords: Old Cars, Cheap Cars and Used Cars)
- Buy {KeyWord: Cars}
- We Sell {KeyWord: Cars}
- Free Maintenance for 1 Month
- brookcars.com/{KeyWord: Cars}
Depending on the keywords the users are searching, your ad will show up like the following:
Sample Query 1: Old Cars
Sample: Ad: Buy Old Cars
- We Sell Old Cars
- Free Maintenance for 1 Month
- Brookcars.com/OldCars
Sample Query 2: Cheap Cars
Sample Ad: Buy Cheap Cars
- We Sell Cheap Cars
- Free Maintenance for 1 Month
- Brookcars.com/CheapCars
As you can see when someone searches and types in the keyword for your ad group, your ad will show up in that manner except when a user searches for a variation of your keyword or a broad match of your keyword, you will see that the default text will show up. The default text is the text after the “{Keyword:” in your default ad. Remember your default text should still fit the maximum characters limit.
As you have noticed, keywords can be inserted dynamically into any part of your ad, including the destination URL. With this, searchers right away see what you are offering and will click on your ad seeing that it is relevant to what they’re looking for.
VARIATIONS AND CAPITALIZATIONS
There is a standard format in inserting keywords, this is {keyword: yourdefaulttext}. There are also variations to the standard format. In this case you can choose which letter of the keyword to capitalize.
These variations are as follows:
- keyword - old cars
- Keyword - Old cars
- KeyWord - Old Cars
- KEYword - OLD cars
- KEYWord - OLD Cars
- KeyWORD - Old CARS
- KEYWORD - OLD CARS
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, this feature is very helpful but one should be very careful when using this. There are several ways that you can manipulate this feature. An example would be getting the correct keywords for that specific ad group, meaning you should know what the similar and related keywords for your ads are. There are many ways for you to find out what these keywords are and the best way is by using a keyword research tool such as KeywordSpy whose feature includes giving information on similar and related keywords of your keyword of choice. Other helpful analytics such as ROI values are also provided by KeywordSpy which will help you filter out the best keywords for your advantage.
Now the challenge for you is to create a better, more dynamic ad. Just also bear in mind that all your ads should follow the search engine’s advertising policy.

How PPC Will Later Translate To SEO
* PPC traffic has the ability to convert at 2.03%, as opposed to natural traffic, which converts at 1.26%
* PPC visitors have been recognized to spend about 10% more money on sites than natural visitors.
* PPC visitors remained on sites 29% longer than those who came to the site organically.
However, as it can be costly in the long run, one must consider implementing more SEO strategies later on to offset such costs. In this article we discuss the factors that can drive the transition from the position-establishing and trailblazing concept of website PPC to more inexpensive but trickier website SEO.
--- Not All Keywords You Use Will Be Worth It ---
Keyword tools are very useful when trying to identify terms that will make a website stand out. You will, at first, incorporate the keywords shown by these tools. However, you have to realize that you face stiff competition, if you try to bid for certain terms immediately and without planning.
Identifying PPC metrics for keywords will go hand in hand with your corresponding SEO campaign. There will come a point wherein you will curb spending for PPC and focus instead on organic metrics to get your site noticed. In that case, you would select the high converting keywords on PPC and include them in the organic content of the website so that the website will have more clicks without you having to spend for them this time around.
--- Long Tail Keywords ---
In a way, the idea of long tail keywords has something common with the abovementioned element. Initially and ideally, you will start with a PPC keyword campaign employing the broad match type. But further on, as you research the search engines, you will see that your campaign will be ranking for certain long tail keywords. You must then take these keywords in account for your strategy, in order to have other options for SEO exposure.
For example, you entered a broad match campaign in Adwords for “cheap cycle parts”. After a month, you then either or Google, or lookup your domain on a keyword tool, and notice that your ads are getting high traffic for “cheap polaris atv parts”. This could only mean that this keyword phrase is getting search traffic to your site. Therefore, you could use it to organically optimize your site through strategic inclusion in the site’s content.
In other words, after undertaking broad match PPC strategy, you are able to narrow down the long tail searches you can possibly use for your campaign, by showing you the long-tail keywords that have converted for your advertising campaign.
--- Meta Descriptions ---
If done creatively, meta descriptions will not only place your website high in the rankings of search engines, but it will also get your website a high clickthrough rate no matter your position. While the first result will usually grab the most attention, the corresponding results can be viewed too if they have a description that can grab the attention of the searching party.
Indeed, running and testing your PPC campaign will eventually help you find out the ad-keyword combinations that are driving traffic to your site. And identifying them will make you later incorporate them in the meta description for your page, to be able to help it be located in the search engines while lowering your overall spending for PPC.
--- SEO by Quality Score ---
With PPC you also later get to know the quality score for keywords that you use. Quality Score would be the metric linking a website to the relevancy of the keywords and ads used for it, and its clickthrough rate (CTR), or the clicks a site gets per impression of its ad. This metric, while subjective, can still give you a healthy opinion on what keywords are relevant to you site; and with this idea, you can target the people who you want your site marketed to.
In the end, a successfully converted campaign from mostly-paid to eventually-free will pay off when the transitional factors are attended to. It’s a concept steeped in logic, really; but many aspirants tend to overlook it and end up putting out more or less effort in doing their campaigns. So make sure you know your campaign inside out and pay special attention to the factors that you think can be less paid-for in the course of your marketing/optimization quest.
